ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Darcy.

I think people are fascinating.

Not because we're perfect, but because we're so resilient. Regardless of what we've lived through, loss, trauma, betrayal, anxiety, depression, difficult relationships, or experiences that left us questioning who we are and our worth, we have an amazing ability to adapt. Sometimes those adaptations help us survive. Sometimes they eventually become the things that keep us stuck.

That's what fascinates me.

I genuinely love understanding why people become the people they become. Somewhere between our experiences, the messages we receive, and the relationships we have, we developed beliefs about ourselves and the world around us. Those beliefs became patterns, and those patterns began to feel like our identity.

I love helping people connect those dots.

One of my favorite parts of therapy is when everything suddenly clicks. You can almost see it happen. The pause, then the wide eyes followed by "Oh...that's why I do that!"

Those moments never get old.

My path into therapy wasn't perfectly planned, and I'm grateful for that. It allowed me to discover that what I truly love isn't just helping people, it's understanding them.

That curiosity is what keeps me learning, growing, and continually looking for better ways to help my clients create meaningful, lasting change.

Professionally, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I incorporate approaches like EMDR, CBT, ACT, and other evidence-based therapies, but I don't believe therapy should be about making people fit into a box. I believe clinical tools should fit people not that people need to adapt themselves to fit prescribed coping skills.

Outside of the therapy office, I'm a wife, a mom, and someone who values authentic, honest, and meaningful relationships, laughter, curiosity, and making the most of the time we have. My family keeps me grounded and reminds me every day why creating a life that feels authentic matters, and why its so important not to get caught up in using beliefs that don’t serve us.

I don't believe people are broken.

I believe people are hurt.

And I believe that understanding ourselves is the first step towards becoming and living our authentic self.

I’d love to help you find your new path. See how you can work with me to discover your authentic self.
